Clarity by Design: User Interface

The ASY5 interface is web-based and consistent across modules. No desktop client is required. Clean layouts, responsive design, and immediate validation reduce repeated work during data entry. Lists support quick search, filtering, and column control. Cloud-native foundation enables responsive performance and rapid updates. Users see only what they need, with clear status and next steps at every stage.

Goods in Motion: Cargo Management

Manifests, waybills, transport and container records are received and tracked before arrival, including vessel and voyage details. Automatic linking connects subsequent cargo documents to the related declarations until completion. Risk analysis runs early and consistently across all cargo documents. This data flows into clearance and accounting for a seamless process.

Customs Release Workflow

Declarations for import, export, and suspense procedures are processed on a design aligned with the WCO Data Model.  Dynamic validation of data capture and electronic integration with cross-checks via catalogs ensures data quality. Risk management sets intervention levels and directs inspections and document checks. Relevant authorizations are applied automatically when conditions are met. Status is visible from registration to release, with secure messages and QR codes on e-documents for verification. Partner Government Agency integrations support coordinated border management.

Optimized Selectivity: Risk Management

Risk management in ASY5 turns policy into action. Risk lists, parameters, and simplified rules work together to direct attention where it matters. Parameters set overarching configuration for interventions as well as tailor-made actions. Rules transform inputs to risk levels and corresponding controls. Signals are combined and converted into a single risk result that is easy to act on. The design aligns with the WCO SAFE Framework and supports trusted trader concepts as well. Random selection ensures integrity and protection against exploitation.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in ASY5 are embedded to assist, not replace, human operators. Anomaly detection highlights unusual links across declarations and transport documents.

Taxes, duties, fees, and exemptions are managed in one place with defined rates, bases, thresholds, and conditions. Standard levy catalogs ensure consistent assessments across procedures and time periods. The calculation engine automatically applies preferences, suspensions, and other conditions when authorized. Rules at the global, tariff line, item, and ad hoc levels ensure compliance with the customs and trade regulations in force.

Tariff Management

The nomenclature flows from Harmonized System through regional adaptations to national lines, also presented as a unified hierarchical view option. Each record includes a description, a code, and a validity period. The view can be set to any date to display information effective on that date. Tariff management allows any number of national columns and attributes to meet country-specific needs. Each line links to levy catalogs and enables simple and reliable classification and assessment.

Payments and Accounting

Assessment proceeds to payment with support for single, mixed, partial, and installment payments. The system is e-payment ready and issues a payment reference that automatically posts the necessary accounting entries. Daybook reports and receipts are generated, and corrections and consolidations are supported. Credit, prepayment, and guarantee accounts are available and can be applied to liabilities. Refund balances can be reused as credits against future liabilities, with full auditability.

Control in Storage: Warehousing

Goods under customs control are tracked by warehouse, location, item, and quantity, referenced to the declaration or manifest. Operators can run with or without stock-management features. Comprehensive guarantees, time limits, and inventory audits are monitored to prevent irregularities. Movements (entry, transfer, and exit) are validated against balances and conditions. Integration with clearance enables release, conversion to other procedures, or disposal when criteria are met.

Permits with Traceability: Authorizations

The Authorizations module manages available permissions granted under the law. Typical cases include customs brokers, warehouse approvals, guarantees, and trusted traders. Online applications are simplified with company selection and document uploads. Granted cases carry validity, conditions, and scope, while amendments, suspensions, and annulments are tracked with timestamps.

Organization in Action: Customs

The administration is organized into offices and units, each with a clear area of responsibility. Parent and child relationships and locations help route work and make oversight easier. Users can be designated as officers with titles and assigned to specific offices. The organigram also stores settings for calendar holidays, officer titles and properties that define their authority, and work hours. A hierarchical view of the entire administration is available with unit details and officer information.

Right People, Right Access:
User Management

Single sign-on is supported with optional multi-factor authentication and session controls. Roles, attributes, and access units apply least-privilege by design. Because ASY5 applies a role-based access control model, each user is subject to limits that may relate to their rights, employer, or location. The purpose is to ensure that users operate strictly within the boundaries of their assigned functions. This approach simplifies access management, strengthens security by ensuring users access only what is necessary, and supports scalability across organizations of all sizes. Activation, change, and deletion of user accounts are straightforward. Account reviews and usage logs make every access decision traceable.
